Virinchi Varma was born in Siddhapuram near Bhimavaram. He realized his interest in literature at very early age and completed his intermediate from Bhimavaram. During his school years, he liked to read books about Sri Gopichand, Chalam, Thilak, etc.

among which his favorite is Ilayaraja's music.
