Fredricka Whitfield is an American and award-winning broadcast journalist and news anchor working as the weekend edition of CNN Newsroom from CNN’s world headquarters in Atlanta.

She joined CNN in 2002.

Fredricka Whitfield Education

Whitfield went to Paint Branch High School where she attained her high school diploma in 1983. She, later on, joined Howard University where she attained her bachelor’s degree in journalism.

During her time in college, she worked at the campus radio station WHUR serving as a news anchor.
