Early Life and Education
Viola Lynn Collins was born on May 16, , in Houston, Texas.
As a child, she underwent surgery to correct a leg deformity, instilling in her a sense of resilience that she carries to this day. Her family relocated to Singapore for several years, where she developed a passion for karate and spent summers in Japan.
Collins is of English, Scottish, Irish, and Cherokee ancestry.
